a word is worth a thousand pictures??
For this project, you will use your knowledge of the text tool in photoshop to create your own WORDLE. Here's how you will proceed:
1. Create a list of at least 30 words that relate to you and your personality. These will be used in your word collage. This list should be posted on the WORDLE page of your WEEBLY site by the end of class TBD.
2. Create a new file that is 8x10. This will be the canvas for your word collage.
3. Drop a flat color in the background using the paintbucket tool. You can change this later. For now, choose one of your favorite colors.
4. Use the text tool to type your first word. The font you choose should be related to the word. For example, you might choose a really curvy font for the word "elegant" or a bold font for the word "LOUD."
5. Change the color of your word. Be sure to relate your choice to the word. For example, orange might not be the best choice for the word "calm"...perhaps a pastel color would be a better fit.
6. Continue adding new words in the same manner.
Be sure your word collage fulfills the following criteria:
1. 15 different fonts. Remember that your choices should relate to the words and their meanings.
2. At least 10 different SIZE fonts. Remember that the most important words should be the LARGEST.
3. At least 30 words that relate to you and your personality. Be sure to spell these correctly!
Before saying "I'm done!" consider the following about your word collage:
1. Do you have any awkward negative spaces? These are those spots where there's too much of the background. It can make your word collage feel unbalanced or unfinished.
2. Do your colors work well together? Do they reflect your personality? Change anything that clashes.
3. Did you fulfill all of the criteria?
You will need to post your WORDLE on a new page titled WORDLE by the end of class on TBD. Be sure to post this as a JPEG of a level 4 quality. Devise a clever title for your piece. Most of your final photographs will need to be titled so this will be good practice!
